Brooks from Houston Texas wanted a stuffed Paddlefish, his mother went searching and found our website and called us to order him one! He loved it and plans to come to Yankton to see our Aquarium and Hatchery!!

About Friends of Gavin's Point National Fish Hatchery

The Friends of Gavins Point National Fish Hatchery, Inc. was incorporated in July 2006 by a small group of local citizens from counties in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. These individuals represent different personal and professional backgrounds, but they share a common goal. They care about fish and wildlife and want to make a difference for the benefit of the community.

April 1-30: CLOSED for 2021
May1 – Labor Day: 10 AM to 5 PM (7 days per week)
Labor Day - September 30: 10 AM to 3 PM (M-F)

Hatchery Building:
Year round: 7 AM to 3 PM (M-F), excluding holidays
Memorial Day – Labor Day: 7 AM to 3 PM (7 days per week)
